CELTIC have got a very bloody nose this afternoon after their move for Eddie Howe sensationally collapsed.
Stephen McGowan is close to the club and has been very positive about the move for Howe to Celtic up until today. Suddenly the deal is off over Celtic being unable to acquire the backroom team from Bournemouth. Howe will not take the role without his own men and it looks like Celtic have wasted two months on a deal that’s now not happening. Incredible and amateurish.
Sources at the club have been confident for weeks, if not months on this deal, only for it to collapse now.
Stephen McGowan has claimed the club are now further down the line with another candidate over the job but hasn’t given any names.
This is a disaster any way you look at it, Celtic have invested so much time and effort into this deal and it’s gone nowhere.
Pathetic stuff from a club that looks leaderless.
