Neil Lennon confirmed on Friday he had sat in with the board and scouting department on Friday and revealed there was another meeting on Saturday to thrash out a transfer plan. With the club now looking to the future, it’s vital they bring in reinforcements for the ten in a row season.

As usual, Celtic will be linked with a plethora of talent throughout the summer. Some will have more truth to them than others.

One rumour which has caught our eye this morning is MailSport reporting Celtic are interested in Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes.

According to the same report, Livingston have slapped a £2m price on the frontman.

Our View

While Lyndon has proven to be a handful for Celtic in the past, he is nowhere near the quality needed at Celtic. The game at Parkhead last season showed his limitations with the striker cutting a frustrated figure as Celtic ran out 4-0 winners.

Dykes is a brash, in your face striker but even at £2m, he’s overvalued.

Right now we have Edouard, Griffiths, Bayo and Klimala in the striking department.

Klimala is just in the door and Bayo would likely be the man to move on if Celtic do get rid of anyone – replacing him with Dykes would be a sideways move.
