CELTIC have made a bid for PSG defender Mitchel Bakker according to Sky Sports correspondent Anthony Joseph.
The journalist claimed this week, Celtic’s major priority now is to sign a left-back in this window and the club are making in-roads to get one of their top targets.
The PSG connection could come into play eventually but Joseph reports the French club have rejected the loan bid for the moment but admits the door isn’t closed on a Celtic deal.
PSG have rejected a loan bid from Celtic for left-back Mitchel Bakker.Â
But it’s understood the Champions League finalists have not completely closed the door on a potential deal with the Hoops.Â

Boli Bolingoli’s Celtic career looks all but over after his unsanctioned trip to Spain earlier this season. Greg Taylor is the only left-back option for the club at the moment and it’s imperative Celtic have competition in that area of the field.
Bakker, 20, has already made his first team debut for PSG but at the moment is third choice left back after coming in from Ajax on a Free Transfer back in the 19/20 season.
The defender could flourish at Celtic and would be more likely to adapt to a Neil Lennon 3-5-2 system. We’ll keep an eye on developments.
Another bairn with no experience. Yep[ that is what Celtic need right now at the back NOT
