In a surprising moment, Hibs boss Nick Montgomery has made headlines with his bold statement regarding the ongoing battle for dominance between Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers. Despite his team’s defeat, Montgomery has hailed Rangers as “probably the best team in the competition,” a comment that has stirred the pot. [PLZ Soccer]

Celtic, under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers, has faced its share of challenges this season. Although not performing at their peak, the Scottish champions remain hot on the heels of their arch-rivals, trailing by a two points in the league standings.

Montgomery’s remarks come as a surprise to many, perhaps he is only seeing it through the lens of his own teams success and failures against both Glasgow sides.

The Celtic support and fans are rallying behind their team more than ever as the title race intensifies. With a crucial clash against Livingston looming and a highly anticipated showdown at Ibrox on the horizon, the Celtic camp is buzzing and determined to prove their mettle.

Rodgers is likely to use Montgomery’s comments as fuel to ignite his team’s passion and resolve. As the season approaches its conclusion, the Celtic support is united in their belief that their team can overcome adversity and cement their status as the true kings of Scottish football.

  1. Hibs don’t try against therangers. They always lie down and take one for the team. Hearst try harder against them than hibs do.

  2. One thing for sure, it ain’t Hibs.
Montgomery will have plenty of time to get his thoughts into some kind of realality state in June when he is back in Australia looking for a job.
