Celtic have moved to deny reports Olivier Ntcham is on his way out of Celtic this January window after reports in France suggested he was heading to West Ham.

The Frenchman has been enjoying a sustained run in the team as of late and Neil Lennon rates the player highly.

However, there had to be a clear the air chat back in the summer after Olivier spoke about leaving Celtic for a new challenge.

After the discussions, Celtic and Oli got back to business and he’s been a positive part of the team, no more so than in Rome against Lazio.

As quick as the rumours have surfaced the club appear to be telling the media there’s no truth to it without any direct quotes from the source.

SunSport writes: “However, SunSport can reveal that the Parkhead club have denied these claims.

“Ntcham, 23, has been attracting interest across over the last 18 months, with Porto and Marseille making their interest known.”

It would be a massive inconvenience to see Celtic lose a big player like Ntcham right before the deadline without any replacement in mind.

  1. He’d hardly be missed.

Reminds me of Johansson who was at Celtic a few years back, had one good season, went to Fulham, had one good season.

Have no idea where he is now? Working on a building site lumping mortar and carrying blocks.

Same thing will happen to Ntcham.

As long as we get a fair wedge of money for him and spend the cash on players, either now or in the summer, sure it’s a win / win.

He’s been itching to leave since Dembele left.
