JAMES FORREST has confirmed he’s closing in on a new deal even though his current deal expires in 2022.
The winger got on the scoresheet for Celtic against Aberdeen at the weekend and has been in top form for the last three seasons. His game has come on so much since he broke into the side as a teenage and even some of the inconsistent seasons he had once he was in the side.
James is one of our most important players and he has shown time and time again he is faithful to the Celtic cause.
James is set to be rewarded for his ability and loyalty be signing a deal on improved terms and he can’t wait to get it over the line.
“It’s near enough done, everything is basically agreed,” Forrest told Record Sport.
“I’ll be delighted to get that done really soon and just keep focusing on playing.”
The midfielder shows no signs of wanting to leave the club and it’s right he is rewarded for his efforts.
Hopefully the player continues to excel and he helps bring home ten in a row for the bhoys.
