Olivier Ntcham was asked about interest from Marseille during a press conference for the French under 21 and the player’s response was very telling.

There has been intense speculation surrounding the Frenchman’s future this summer and his comments today will only further the belief he wants to leave Celtic this summer if a club comes in for him and meets Celtic’s valuation.

“A departure from Celtic? It’s possible yes. But here I am focusing on the Euros. Everything in its time. Marseille? Yes, it’s very interesting! It’s a big club! ” he told the media conference.

Ntcham signed a new deal with the club last season after Brendan Rodgers refused to sell the player to Porto.

The midfielder didn’t have the best of campaigns last term and it’s frustrating because on his day he is a gem of a player.

There’s a reason for the interest in the former Manchester City man.

Celtic were looking to bring in David Turnbull to add to their midfield options which could have paved the way for any hams exit. As it stands at the moment, the Turnbull move is in limbo and there’s been no concrete bids for Olivier. The transfer window is still very young!
