CELTIC defender Hatem Elhamed has had to use his instagram account to shoot down a Twitter page claiming to be the man himself.

Hatem has been out injured and missed the last two Celtic games, a tweet from an account claiming to be the player posted a positive update on his situation but that has turned out to be bogus the Israeli revealed.

Many websites ran with the story the player was 100% back in action after the tweet when in reality we aren’t sure how Hatem is getting on at the minute and if he will be involved in Celtic’s next two games.

Anyone following the account above on Twitter should unfollow and block this imposter account.

This isn’t the first time Celtic players have had to let fans know about fake accounts and can be quite a regular occurrence. With this one, it was gaining traction as the real deal.
