CHRIS SUTTON declared Celtic’s 1-0 victory against Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon was a ‘big win’ after the bhoys reclaimed their nine-point lead.

The game looked to be heading towards a draw, with Aberdeen playing the role of human shields rather than footballers on the day.

Jim Goodwin’s pathetic attempt to stifle Celtic meant the bhoys ended up with 80% possession and 33 shots on goal. The 33rd shot is the one that made sure of all three points.

Aberdeen were poor, and Celtic dominated the game. Had the Dons managed to slither off with a point on the day, they would have been hailed by some in Scotland as masterminds. In reality, their pathetic attempt at football brings the level of our game to new lows.

Despite Aberdeen’s attempt at snatching a point, Chris Sutton declared the win massive for Ange Postecoglou and his men.

Celtic have got their festive fixtures off to a perfect start with a win up north. They now have two games against Livingston and St Johnstone at home before heading off to Easter Road and Ibrox for difficult away ties.
