The transfer window is over for the summer but Celtic can’t stay still. They constantly have to be looking for new talent and in the ideal scenario they should be getting to a place where they’re working two windows ahead.

According to SunSport, there’s signs of this happening – the club reportedly had a scout watching striker Kyle Hudlin last week.

The 21-year-old is the tallest footballer in Britain at 6ft 9”, currently playing for Solihull Moors.

The report claims a whole host of clubs have been watching the striker’s progress and the Celtic scout watched the 1-1 draw between Solihull Moors and Barnet.

Ange Postecoglou doesn’t want to just win in the short term but also leave a legacy when he’s done at Celtic – to reach that goal – unearthing top talent is a major component. It’s good to see Celtic not sitting on their hands.

The January window should see more players head in and some go out.

  1. And what good is having a striker (or any other position) that’s 6.9 if no one heads a ball any more?
Now Griffo was a shortarse, but his turfed head beat many a much taller player via the goal net. Meh.
