Celtic, in partnership with Adidas, has just unveiled its away kit for the 2023/24 season, and it’s a design that is sure to be a winner with fans.

The new jersey, predominantly dark grey, is a fresh take on the away kit, which has seen a variety of colours over the years.

The 2023-2024 away jersey shares a similar aesthetic with the 2022-23 away shirt, with the Adidas logos rendered in crisp white against the dark backdrop.

However, the new design introduces subtle green accents on the collar and cuffs, adding a vibrant touch to the overall look. The Adidas trademark, the three stripes, grace the shoulders, maintaining a consistent branding presence on Celtic’s kits.

Since Adidas took over as Celtic’s kit manufacturer in 2020, the brand has released two primarily black Celtic shirts. This latest design, however, brings a fresh perspective to the table. The dark grey tone is a novel approach.

This unveiling marks the first kit release for the upcoming season. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the home and third kits, which are yet to be officially revealed.

Interestingly, the third kit had a brief moment in the spotlight in May when it was accidentally put up for sale by Adidas in the UK. A few quick-thinking Celtic fans managed to purchase it and have their orders fulfilled before the kit was swiftly pulled from the Adidas website. We understand the away kit also got the same treatment in the US last week.

As the Bhoys prepare to take on the 2023/24 season, this will be a kit that will likely grace the Champions League at some point.

What do you think of the new kit?
