Everton were announced as the final team which Celtic would take on during the Sydney Super Cup alongside Sydney FC in November and ticket sales appear to be going well.

The Toffees will be hoping for a much better result than there most recent friendly outing where they were thrashed 4-0 by Minnesota United.

The Hoops were originally scheduled to take on their Glasgow rivals in a showpiece friendly spectacle out in Australia until the Ibrox club pulled out of the tournament dubbed as ‘Ange’s Homecoming’.

Unlike Celtic’s most recent clash with Legia Warsaw in Artur Boruc’s final tribute match, ticket sales appear to be going really well with four months still to go until the game.

The ticket pricing doesn’t seem to have caused any controversy like the the Legia match with the cheapest ticket for the game coming in at just over twenty pounds.

Tickets which are described as Celtic are available at a cost of just under £40 and appear to be really popular with Australian supporters with large sections of the stadium already being sold out.

This game will provide a Celtic with a strong test during the winter break in November as domestic football halts for over a month for the World Cup in Qatar.
