Celtic Women’s League fixtures for the 2023/24 have today been announced.

Last week, the Bhoys found out who they were set to play and now, it is the Ghirls turn.

On the opening day of the SWPL season, Sunday, August 13th, Celtic will travel to face Montrose.

A home clash against Hamilton awaits a week later before the Ghirls face Spartans away on Wednesday, August 23rd.

These are the first three league games of the season for Fran Alonso’s side who will be aiming for nothing but nine points from them.

Alonso and his team have to wait a while for the first derby of the season, though.

Celtic Women don’t take on Rangers until the 22nd of October although they do face Glasgow City sooner, on the 4th of October.

The final day of the season is not until the 19th of May therefore it is yet another long season for the Ghirls.

Moreover, they have recently lost a few key players in Natasha Flint and Jacynta which may make it even tougher.

Alonso will assuredly have valid replacements in mind in order to strengthen his team who will go again in 2023/24 after narrowly missing out on last season’s SWPL title.
