Celtic star Liel Abada is closing in on a personal milestone this season as he is on course to make 100 appearances for the club.

He marked his 90th appearance for Ange Postecoglou’s side at the weekend with a goal against Aberdeen in a thumping 4-0 victory as Reo Hatate and Callum McGregor were also on the scoresheet.

Although Abada hasn’t always been a guaranteed starter for the side this season, he continually makes a big impact on the team.

His stats during his time in Glasgow have been incredible having scored 26 goals and contributed 26 assists which almost averages out at a goal contribution less than every two games [Transfermarkt].

He may not start the Viaplay Cup final against Rangers but will likely be used at some point having always been a dangerous player against the Ibrox club which was displayed during the 4-0 derby mauling in September as he was on the scoresheet twice.

It can be very easy to forget that the winger is only 21-years-old and is in the category of players who are only going to continue to get better under the management of Postecoglou.

Although he is contracted to the Hoops until 2026, the club will likely want to renegotiate his contract at some point soon to limit external interest.
