Celtic have been drawn against fellow Scottish Premiership side Ross County in the 2nd Round of the Betfred Cup, as we begin our defence to make it five League Cup wins in a row.

The Hoops will face County at home on the weekend of the 28th/29th of November. It is expected the game will be played on Sunday the 29th though, as Neil Lennon’s side are in Europa League action, the Thursday before away to Sparta Prague.

So far in our run towards a potential Quadtreble Treble, we have yet to face Ross County in any of the cup competitions. The last time we faced them in the cup was the semi-final of the same competition back in 2016 under Ronny Deila, that we lost 3-1 at Hampden Park.

Many will, of course, remember last years campaign, in particular the final in which we came out on top as 1-0 winners against Glasgow rivals Rangers, to secure the trophy for the fourth year running.

We have faced our opponents competitively this season so far, in a dominant 5-0 display. Hopefully, it will be more of the same in the cup and we can begin our chase to win the trophy again with a bang.
