Celtic’s injury crisis continues to deepen. Players are dropping like flies and there’s no respite for the few who are fit which will likely put their risk of injury higher.

One man who optimises our bad luck lately is Gorgios Giakoumakis. When he was finally fit to make the Celtic squad, he pulls something warming up on the sidelines during the game against Raith Rovers.

We’ve had nothing in the way of an update on the Greek striker since Thursday night until now.

Ange Postrcoglou faced the media after the 1-1 draw with Dundee Utd and revealed the striker has an outside chance of making the Aberdeen game.

Considering Ajeti of our only fit striker, it should be welcome news. The way things are going, the Greek player will likely suffer a setback.

Kyogo isn’t due back until after the international break, neither is James Forrest or Christopher Jullien.

Cal Mac could be fit for Sunday but we just don’t know.

Before that game, we have the small matter of a game against Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday.

  1. Have to give the young adults a game. They can do no better nor worse than what we saw today. It’s sink or swim or I say.
Mon Angeroo, and take a chance.

Dundee Celtic could’ve had all three points. If they had gone 3-4-3 today.
The Hoops still need 10 million spent on a working/meshing defence. And Ayeti is lost in the middle of nowhere, like his Nepalese counterpart, but they’re much taller and have bigger feet to connect with cross balls. Ohh and they can turn invisible. Ayeti couldn’t turn a ball inwards towards the net. Get him some much needed help. And press more.

  2. Hope that Anton McElhone will be able to identify those kind of issues if that is the case Jim.
I completely believe it will get better. Our Ange has put so much focus on sports science, he’s no mug. He has to deal with this injury nightmare too the best he can. God, you’d think the way some ‘fairweather fans’ are going on, he must have caused it!!
I hope we can all get behind Ange, the bhoys and this rebuild. One minute we’re all saying that this will take a year, minimum, but after a couple bad results the knives are out! Come on!! #weareallceltic
