Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley put in a wonderful performance in Celtic’s final game before the winter break away at St. Mirren. The Dane scored and assisted another in Paisley days after teeing up Kyogo for his phenomenal strike in the Glasgow derby.

Such contributions have seen O’Riley gain international recognition. Indeed, the midfielder was included in EA Sports’ FC (previously known as FIFA) 24’s latest Team of the Week:

O’Riley was named as one of the best-performing footballers over the past week or so along with some prestigious players such as World Cup winner Luataro Martinez, Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, and Milan full-back Theo Hernandez.

Such recognition is fully deserved and only increases O’Riley’s reputation. He has been arguably the greatest player in Scotland this season, and by the week, his stock is continually rising.

His FC24 Team of the Week inclusion adds testament to such a fact and by the time the end of the season comes, it wouldn’t be surprising to hear whispers of potential moves to some big clubs for O’Riley become louder than they currently are.
