STOP THE PRESSES! Take a seat and brace yourselves! Charlie Nicholas wrote something POSITIVE about Celtic. No, we’re not joking!

Usually, we are treated to a diatribe from the former Celtic star on how our players are being sold or our manager should leave the club but today in his Daily Star column, the Sky Sports man actually gave a positive take on Celtic’s form after the winter break.

Celtic have stretched their advantage to six points in the SPFL since the turn of the year as well as scoring 14 goals without reply in all competitions.

Even though the Celtic squad is massively depleted due to injury, they seem to be hitting another gear and showing their strength in depth.

Speaking about the possibility of Celtic going further ahead in the league, Nicholas believes it’s only a matter of time.

“They have come flying out of the blocks after the break and have pulled ahead of the chasing pack.

“The Hoops are six points clear of Rangers and a further two ahead of Aberdeen.

“With their nearest rivals meeting at Pittodrie tomorrow night then one if not both could lose ground on Celtic if they do the business against Hibs.

“Celtic haven’t been great but they have won games and answered the questions that have been posed to them.”

Celtic will welcome Hibernian to Glasgow on Wednesday hoping to get the better of the Edinburgh side who are still without a full time manager after parting ways with Celtic Legend Neil Lennon a couple of weeks ago.

Brendan Rodgers will be looking for his side to take advantage of the Easter Road side’s uncertainty and get all three points.
