Celtic fans have been reacting to the Europa League news with the bhoys given a very tough group. The hardest and biggest side in Pot 3, Milan, were drawn in our group along with Sparta Prague and Lille.
It provides glamour and excitement, although it will be behind closed doors unless Celtic can find a way to convince the government to allow 30% capacity which will be permitted by UEFA.
Chris Sutton had branded the draw ‘great’ for Celtic.
Great draw for Celtic…
Sparta Prague
AC Milan
Lille— Chris Sutton (@chris_sutton73) October 2, 2020
It shows you, even if you’re in the higher pot, you could still get a more difficult group. Celtic’s city rivals have managed a less high profile group and they were in pot 3.
It will be exciting and it will see our players come up against some tough opposition. We weren’t given much of a chance last year and we topped our group. A great effort will be needed to make it this time around.
