Chris Sutton can’t help himself when it comes to winding up The Rangers fans and pundits.

This morning the ex-Celtic striker made another joke at their expense after their ludicrous position heading into the Europa League final last week.

Former Ibrox player Kevin Thomson and Mandy if their support claimed if The Rangers won the Europa League [Europe’s Second tier competition] it would surpass Celtic’s European Cup triumph in 1967. It was hilarious before the game and it’s even funnier after.

The Rangers have their chance to win their one and only trophy of the season in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday afternoon and Chris Sutton has wished both them and Hearts well for the final – kind of.

Chris is having a laugh but clearly poking fun at the absurd position of some of the Ibrox lot.

They fell at penalties against a decent Frankfurt side who finished 11th in the Bundesliga.

Celtic did beat the Champions of Italy to win the European cup back in ‘67. Our team was full of Scotsman who lived within a 30 mile radius of Celtic Park. You’re not surpassing that I’m afraid.

  1. ‘Underdogs my eye. We will show everybody, well once we had won them all’. ‘Four trophy’s from four, says plenty’.
