Charlie Christie has spoken of his delight after his son signed for Celtic on the last day of the transfer window.

The former ICT boss who spent two years at Celtic himself knows the challenges his son Ryan faces but admits the headstrong self admitted Celtic fan is looking forward to the challenge.

“I knew he was keen on the move. Ryan took everything on board, but he’s a headstrong kid. He knows and accepts it will be a huge challenge, but he also feels he can achieve something at Celtic.” Said Christie.

Ryan was loaned straight back out to ICT after signing for Celtic and will have to wait till at least January before we see him in a Celtic jersey if the club choose to bring him back during the next window.

The midfielder is a great talent and if nurtured correctly could prove to be a very important player in the years to come.
