It’s under 24 hours until kick-off and if you believe what comes out of the Cluj camp (take anything with a pinch of salt) then there could be a scenario tomorrow night where Dan Petrescu is not in the dugout.

According to Cluj’s assistant manager, Dan has taken ill at the team hotel ahead of the tie and could be a doubt for making the game.

A rather bizarre scenario.

“We really hope that Dan will be with us starting from tomorrow morning, not afternoon.” Minteuan told SunSport.

Just before we left to come to the stadium he said that he didn’t feel really good and we know that he is a fighter.

“It is not such a big problem and we really want him on the bench but if not we will be ready to prepare the team for the match.”

A lot of Celtic supporters don’t trust what the Cluj camp say about anything after the tie in August threw up so many random mind games by Dan and his team.

Celtic will not take any notice – regardless of who’s in the dugout. The bhoys must focus on nothing but the three points. If Celtic can play to their potential then the game will take care of itself.

Neil Lennon sees an opportunity to make real progress in this group on Thursday night and hopefully head to the top of Groupe E.
