Celtic’s starting XI for today’s match has been released for their trip to Kilmarnock for the Viaplay Sports Cup Clash.
Celtic are looking to retain their title after winning the trophy in February after a match against The Rangers at Hampden Park.
Killie have had a strong start to the season so far, and it certainly will be a tough match for Celtic, especially given the playing surface.
There was guaranteed to be rotation in today’s starting XI, with Brendan Rodgers confirming that Reo Hatate and Cameron Carter-Vickers would miss the match through injury. The manager also confirmed that Stephen Welsh would miss out after signing a new deal on Friday. He picked up an injury during the team’s training session later that day, and reports suggest that he could be out for months.
