Neil Lennon has promised Celtic fans that there will be no sentimentality when he names his 2020 Scottish Cup final team to face off against Hearts at Hampden today.

Neil Lennon: “As regards team selection, there will be no sentimentality involved in my thinking behind that. It is a cup final, a game we want to win and I have to pick the best team…to help us win another trophy.”

A lot of people are focusing on the Scott Brown decision but in truth, the manager has big calls to make today all over the park.

Goalkeeping wise the Irishman has a hard choice to make with gambling with a 3rd choice goalkeeper with very few senior teams starts or a more experienced goalkeeper with poor form so far this season.

His backline should pick itself, Celtic have looked better in defense since the return of Jullien.

We can’t wait to see midfield Lennon picks, the majority of fans want Soro and Turnbull in and a lot of people have accused the Celtic manager of playing favorites this season. That been said, you must feel for Scott Brown, he has been at the heart of Celtic’s last three trebles.

The wait is over and the teams have just been confirmed, this is your Celtic team for the 2020 Scottish Cup final:

So, no starting place for Soro but at least Turnbull has played his way into the team along with Hazard. Once again Celtic’s bench looks formidable, but lets hope it is not needed for the wrong reasons.
