A lot of focus at this time of the year is centred around the January transfer window and incoming players. Fans wake up every morning hoping to read about a new signing. The Bhoys certainly need strengthing in certain positions or at the very least some cover.
The Celtic squad have been enjoying some sunshine in Dubai once again for their winter break. They have been linked with all kinds of players but the word from Neil Lennon is he might be ready to blood in some forgotten talent already at Celtic.
Both Daniel Arzani and Marian Shved joined Celtic with a lot of hype and high hope. Neither player has had their chance to shine for different reasons.
Daniel Arzani is closing in on a comeback after a lengthy lay-off from the knee injury he suffered on his Celtic debut in October 2018. After a red hot world cup he was a hot property with a host of clubs chasing the player it was Man City who got the player but loaned him straight out to Celtic Park.
How many videos of Shved goals were shared last season on social media while he stayed on loan with his selling club in Ukraine? But, the player has only made two appearances since landing in Paradise but Neil Lennon sounds like he is prepping the players for the second half of the season when he spoke with Celtic TV.
“They have all trained well. It’s good to see Daniel Arzani back and Marian Shved has had a good week,” added Lennon.
If Lennon feels they have trained good enough to earn some game time then look no further than Saturday’s Scottish Cup clash away to Partick Thistle.
