DEDRYCK BOYATA will be playing his football in the Bundesliga next season after the German club confirmed they have signed the Celtic star on a pre-contract agreement.

Boyata wanted to leave Celtic last summer and tried to push through a move to Fulham on the final days of the window but ironically his Premier League move was blocked by Brendan Rodgers.

After being brought back into the team, Boyata was greeted by a banner which said he wasn’t fit to wear the jersey by the Green Brigade. The defender would go onto score the winner in that game and cemented his place back in the Celtic side.

The Belgian has been professional since and has done his bit for the team but at 28-years-old, this will be Boyata’s last BIG contract and he’s taken a lucrative offer to head to Germany.

The centre back has been out injured since the Glasgow Derby win at Parkhead in March and he’s not expected to play in either of the last two games.
