Monday evening brought bittersweet news for the Celtic family. After two magical seasons, Portuguese winger, Jota, is leaving the Hoops to ply his trade with Saudi Arabian outfit, Al-Ittihad. [Celtic FC]

Jota, first joining us on loan from Benfica and later donning the Hoops on a full contract, has been an integral part of our success. His incredible footwork, his knack for the spectacular have left an indelible mark on the heart of Celtic fans.

Jota’s contribution to the club has been immense helping win five trophies out of six. He helped us clinch two league titles and lifted both the Scottish and League Cups. His performances were instrumental in these victories, etching his name into Celtic folklore with some impressive goals in the process.

We now await the details of the transfer which could be record breaking. The London Stock Exchange opens at 8 am on Tuesday morning where Celtic might just put out a communication for shareholders.
