Dundee manager Tony Docherty will be in the stands when Celtic visit Dens Park tomorrow afternoon.

The gaffer received a one-match touchline ban because he picked up his fourth yellow card of the season a few weeks ago in his side’s goalless draw at Pittodrie which sealed their top-six spot [Glasgow Times].

These types of bans, though, don’t come into play until 14 days after the offence, meaning he was free to be fully involved in his team’s 0-0 draw with Rangers last midweek.

Although Docherty not being on the sidelines this weekend may be a boost for the Hoops, as we have seen this campaign, having no manager in the dugout doesn’t make much of a difference.

Indeed, when the Celts travelled to Livingston on Easter Sunday, Brendan Rodgers was in the stands yet the Bhoys played how they usually do and there was no dip as they picked up a 3-0 win.

The same will likely ring true in terms of the Dee’s performance level tomorrow as they look to cause an upset to Celtic’s title hopes in their bid for Europe.
