Mohamed Elyounoussi has made the vow to “give something back” to the fans after it was announced that the winger would be returning to the club.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Moi also talked about how happy he was to be returning for a second spell at the club.

“I’m very happy. It’s a proud moment for myself and my family. We’re very happy in Glasgow. I enjoyed my first year here. I enjoy working with the coaching staff and the players, everyone at the club, so it was an easy choice, really.

Since the league stopped, I got a lot of positive messages from fans. They told me what they thought about me, and for me to take another year, and I have to say, that made the choice even easier.

It’s hard to say no when you get so many messages and feedback – love from the fans, and obviously, I will try to give something back. The fans, of course, are one of the reasons why I’m staying here another year.”

It is clear to see how much Elyounoussi has enjoyed his stay at the club, so much as that he has decided to sign on for another year.

Seeing the impact that fans have on his decision is also testament to how good the relationship was between both himself and the Hoops faithful.

I have a feeling we didn’t even get to see the Norwegian at his full potential, which is absolutely frightening considering how well he done at the start of the campaign.

Hopefully, he can have a big impact on what is a crucial season, in Celtic’s recent history.
