I’m not saying Vasilis Barkas is the answer but surely people now have to see Scott Bain is NOT.

I’ve been banging this drum for weeks, Scott Bain is a very capable understudy but he’s not a first team, reliable goalkeeper. While Barkas had a tough start to his Celtic career, he really didn’t do anything astonishingly bad to be dropped, I can think of five things in the last five weeks Scott Bain should be dropped for. The game against Prague tonight, in-particular the fourth goal is proof positive we need to end the Bain experiment.

Barkas should come back in and show us what he’s got – if he turns out not to be the answer then it’s something the club has to address in January.

Just look at the stats here.

Our social media was alight this afternoon when we made the observation Bain was the only player in the starting XI who we would have changed for this game tonight. Not that it would have given us the win but, Barkas couldn’t be any worse.

Lets put Barkas in foe the League Cup game and go from there. The man bought for £4m in the summer [TransferMarkt] deserves a proper run between now and the end of the year.
