Brendan Rodgers was appointed Celtic manager at the beginning of this week.
Rodgers replaced Ange Postecoglou in the Parkhead dugout and will be keen to emulate the success of his previous spell as gaffer.
If he does so, his name will further be etched into the Celtic history books and doing so has been made much easier with the retention of all the club’s backroom staff despite Postecoglou’s departure.
According to captain Callum McGregor, this is hugely positive. The 30 year old said (Celtic FC):
“Excellent.
“The previous manager did a fantastic job but also helped by the excellent staff we had in the building.”
The work done by the coaches at Celtic should not go unnoticed as their jobs are just as key to the Hoops’ success as the manager’s.
McGregor went on to say:
“We’ve got a great group of staff who work tirelessly every day to make sure the club is in a good place so that coupled with the return of Brendan as manager is then a really exciting time for the club, the players and the supporters.”
Hoops fans across the globe will be eager for this new chapter in Celtic’s history to commence.
Likewise, Brendan Rodgers will be eager to get to work in his second spell in charge of the Scottish champions and bring yet more success to the club he loves.
Happy return Brenden
