He came off the bench for Celtic on Sunday but Leigh Griffiths is getting a run out this afternoon for the Celtic reserve side against Dundee in the SPFL reserve cup.

The Celtic frontman has re-emerged after a difficult period and has already got on the scoresheet for the first team.

Neil Lennon will be conscious of Leigh needing as much game time as possible to continue his quest to be match sharp and fit.

Bayo was given the nod against Hearts which proved to be a good call by the Celtic manager with Bayo being a catalyst for the win.

Celtic’s young side will take on their Dundee counterparts today and it will be great for Armstrong Oko-Flex and Aitchison to play alongside someone of Griff’s calibre.

Leigh will more than likely be tuning up as he gets ready to fly out with Celtic later in the week to take On AIK for a place in the Europa League group stage.

  1. Leigh Griffiths missed a lot of games and he needs game time to sharping him up and to get him back to his very best and the best way to do that is to get game time in to keep him fit and ready when called…
