Former Celtic academy youngster Liam Morrison took an impressive step up at German giants Bayern Munich.

The talented central defender made his way through the Hoops academy but moved over to Germany in the 2019/20 season to sign for Bayern.

In the last few years, Morrison has suffered from injury issues but continues to take impressive steps in the youth set-up.

Last night, the defender made his debut for the clubs 2nd side coming on as a sub in a 2-0 win. Just a day later, he also played 90 minutes for the u19s.

It is clear to see that Morrison is rated within the Bayern as he continues to take steps up the age groups at the club.

Seeing the success of the youngster is a little frustrating from a Celtic point of view – it would have been good to see Morrison provided with the opportunity to showcase his talent in Scotland.

However, when a giant European side like Bayern come calling, there is no way a young player would turn down such a great move.

We wish him all the success and the future and hopefully can continue to see a player who was once part of the Lennoxtown academy player his part at a top side.
