Anthony Stokes has apparently finally surfaced after months of laying low.

The former Celtic striker had gone awol from his team in Greece, who threatened to fine and sack him for his disappearance.

Apollon Smyrni were less than impressed by their January acquisition who contributed very little during his time at the club.

The player left for Greece after a falling out with former Celtic gaffer Neil Lennon at Hibs who terminated his contract.

According to STV, the Irishman has been seen training with newly promoted St Mirren under old boss at Hibs Alan Stubbs.

Stubbs and Stokes were the masterminds behind the 2016 Scottish Cup final win for Hibs and it looks like they could be teaming up again.

That’s if Stokes club allow him to leave, he penned an 18-month deal just 6 months ago.
