FRASER FORSTER tuned into Celtic’s Glasgow Derby win at the weekend. The keeper claims he often does this, saying he’s a ‘supporter for life’.

The keeper returned to Celtic when Neil Lenon was boss and played in some memorable wins, like Lazio home and away and The Rangers at Hampden when Jullien’s goal secured the cup. During that season, the keeper made many vital saves.

He initially joined Celtic from Newcastle in 2010. His performance against Barcelona attracted interest in the Englishman, who was called up to the most recent England squad, and ultimately led to a move down south. He joined Southampton and has been with them ever since.

When he came back to Celtic on loan, he decided to stay at the Saints when he returned to fight for a place in the team.

“I did watch it, I watch all of them. I love Celtic and the five years I had there in total. I will be a supporter for life ultimately.

“It’s a huge result. They showed character to come away with the three points. It’s the same as ever at the top of the league, it isn’t over until it’s over.

“It will be an interesting run-in, it gives them the advantage. There’s still one more Old Firm and plenty of points to play for. It’s a huge result but there is still a lot of work to do to get that title over the line.

“It’s a massive result, especially at Ibrox. It gives massive confidence for the Celtic lads and hopefully it kicks them on to have a very strong end to the season.”
