Celtic recovered from a poor first-half showing in Perth on Saturday to win 3-1 against St. Johnstone. Despite taking three points back to Parkhead, the Bhoys were behind at one point.

Indeed in the first half, the Saints got themselves in front courtesy of a Diallang Jaiyesimi tap-in. It was a goal that Brendan Rodgers thought his team were ‘bullied’ in the build-up to. He said (Sky Sports): “It was no foul, we were soft. We got bullied in that moment.”

Many thought that Joe Hart was impeded in the build-up to the goal, however, Rodgers has a differing opinion. His team weren’t good enough defensively at that moment, and it was an extremely sloppy goal to concede.

The Irishman went on to state his team wasn’t ‘aggressive enough’ in the lead-up to the game’s opener. This is something that will need to be improved on going forward, with the Hibernian game coming quickly on the horizon.
