CELTIC have nearly wrapped up the league, just three points away from confirming the league title will return to Paradise.
The Celtic boss was asked to expand on what he thought was the most pivotal match of the season that helped put a hand on the league. Postecoglou named the 3-0 Glasgow win as the most significant match of the season. The win put Celtic at the top of the table for the first time under Ange’s management, and they haven’t budged since.
Speaking to BeIn Sports, the Aussie Boss said;
“Probably the most significant, if I had to pick one, was Rangers at Celtic Park after the break.
“That game, we knew if we won, we’d go top for the first time all year. But also, we knew if we lost, they would get a six-point gap, and I didn’t think we would be able to reel in a six-point gap because they weren’t going to drop too many games.
“The way we played that night, the atmosphere. That just gave us the fuel we needed to kind of make sure we finished strong.”

Since then, there have been many moments that Celtic fans feel have boosted the Hoops. Celtic’s win at Ibrox to stretch their lead at the top was also significant, along with their away trip to Ross County, showing their heads hadn’t dropped from the Semi-Final defeat. Liel Abada’s late winner against Dundee United at Celtic Park also springs to mind.
The truth is, there hasn’t been one defining factor to Celtic winning the league. The team’s consistency has gotten them to the position they now hold.
Since September, Celtic has had to be nearly perfect to earn the top spot. Now, they are just a win away from confirming their champions status.
