Greg Taylor scored his first Celtic goal of the season on Saturday afternoon as he helped his side to a deserved 3-1 victory over his former club Kilmarnock. Reo Hatate and Luis Palma also netted in the win.

At the top of the table, the Scottish champions are in an extremely strong position going into the second international break of the campaign. Taylor has played a notable part in this and posted on Instagram following the weekend’s action.

The left-back captioned two photos with ‘Nice way to finish before the international break [winky face and green love heart emoji]’, obviously hinting at the tap-in he scored:

In the 2023/24 campaign, the 25-year-old has started every single one of Celtic’s 11 matches. He has been nothing but reliable so far under Brendan Rodgers and on Saturday versus Killie, deserved to get on the scoresheet, albeit via one of the simplest goals he’ll ever net.
