Sead Haksabanovic moved to Celtic last summer for a fee of just 2.5 million euros (Transfermarkt).

The Montenegrin has become a fans’ favourite in Glasgow having scored five goals and registered four assists so far this campaign.

Just a year before he made the move to Glasgow, Haksabanovic joined Russian side Rubin Kazan for a hefty 6.5 million euros (Transfermarkt) from Norrkoping in his homeland however this transfer has been the catalyst for a legal row.

Norrkoping, who sold the attacker to Kazan, are currently due £2.7 million from the Russian club regarding the move (SVT).

Due to this, the Swedish side have now went to the Chamber of Commerce to get an exemption from EU sanctions against Russia in order for Kazan to pay the money. Usually, applications such like this one take around two weeks to be processed thus it will not be long before we find out the results.

Nevertheless, Haksabanovic nor Celtic will be affected in any way, shape or form by these dealings. The 23 year old will assuredly continue to strut his stuff in green and white and keep on dancing to Jennifer Lopez’s ‘On The Floor’ when he scores.
