The man that burst onto the scene from Ajax under Neil Lennon’s watch only to be carted off injured 17 minutes into his debut.
The man nicknamed ‘sicknote’ by some of the Celtic support had a tremendous amount of bad luck when it came to injuries and never got going in a Celtic jersey.
On the odd time we did see him he never looked fully comfortable.
Anyway, the Dutchman was back in Scotland recently to play a round of footgolf.
For those not familiar or able to grasp what that is by its name i- it’s golf with your foot.
The highly entertaining clip shows Derk putting his skills to the test and he tells us his real nickname at Celtic.
Derk is still unattached having not found a club since leaving Celtic.
