JOHN KENNEDY was asked about the Sunday evening tweet that had fans talking on Monday morning.

Conor McGregor bringing up potentially buying shares in Celtic during a Q&A was rather bizarre, to say the least.

The UFC legend said he’s interested in buying shares in a sports team at some point – Manchester Utd and Celtic both being clubs he would look at.

Asked about Conor’s potential interest in Celtic, our interim coach John Kennedy shrugged it off.

“I think last week he was at Man United, as well,” John Kennedy told Celtic TV.

“It looks like he’s trying to get his teeth into football somehow.

“But I don’t think there’s anything in that at all.”

Some believe Conor likes to stir the pot and keep himself in the public eye. By posting about Celtic and Manchester Utd it did bring him into sharp focus.

The Irishman has made an empire out of MMA and adopting a polarising persona over the years.

McGregor’s WWE approach to the way he does business would certainly keep things entertaining if he was ever involved with the club but as John Kennedy said, we doubt there’s much chance of that happening at all.
