Over the past few days, rumours of possible departures have sped up, with Matt O’Riley the latest player to be linked with a Celtic exit.

The midfielder has said his head is at Celtic, and is not currently interested in a move away from Glasgow.

Postecoglou has stated that he’d be “surprised” if any of the players wanted to leave this summer, but he does expect a few departures as Celtic looks to trim the deadwood of the squad.

Meanwhile, the manager has remained consistent in his transfer messages, hinting that the club has a player in mind who they are keen to bring in.

As quoted by Glasgow Live, the Celtic boss said;

“I’d be very surprised if anyone wants to leave this place at the moment.

“We’ll see how the next few days go. There’s the possibility of a couple of outgoings, and that could give us the opportunity to bring another one in.

“There’s nothing fixed in there but if the right opportunity came along we might bring one more in. If we don’t, I am happy with the business we have done.”

The Celtic squad is in a really good place, there’s lots of competition for places, and the players are having to perform at their best if they want to keep their place in the team.

It gives Postecoglou a strong bench with the ability to turn to players who can change the game.
