John Kennedy has spoken in detail about Reo Hatate’s return from injury ahead of the match against Livingston.
Hatate starts this afternoon against Livingston, and Kennedy confirmed that the Japanese midfielder did take part in a bounce game last week.
Kennedy said: [Celtic TV], “We’ve missed him for large parts of the season and I think everyone knows the quality that he has and what he brings to the team.
“He’s had a period of time out, but in terms of what he’s done in the last few weeks in training, he’s looked really good. We had a training game last week in which he took part, and again, he’s had another good week’s training.
“He’s ready to go, and we’re at the stage of the season where he’s feeling fit, which he is. We’re getting to the important part of the season, and we want our best players. It’s time to unleash him and get him going again.”
Kennedy is clearly feeling bullish about Hatate’s return to the starting 11, and with his influence on the team missed for much of the season, it is no surprise that Kennedy feels so positively about Hatate starting against Livingston.
