Ange Postecoglou will take Yokohama Marino’s this morning. The game kicks off at 10am UK time and it’s being billed as Ange Postecoglou’s send off.
J Soccer magazine have now waxed into the speculation and they’re intrigued to see what happens in today’s game vs Honda FC.
The magazine took to social media to discuss whether Ange will stick out a full strength team against the relative minnows or he will put out a younger side for his potential last game.
I wonder if Ange will go all out 1st teamers (due to potential of opposition strength, or to make that big finish, stay in Emperor's Cup for next manager!) or rotate (for Levain Cup 2nd leg? Even though EmpCup winner gets ACL place). Interesting all-round tonight.— JSoccer Magazine (@JSoccerMagazine) June 9, 2021
It’s expected after the match that Ange will begin his transition to Celtic manager and start making the trip to Glasgow.
Since the Eddie Howe deal fell apart ten day ago, Ange’s name has never been out of the frame.
It looks inevitable at this point but, I guess, so did Eddie Howe. Until it’s signed on the dotted line, fans will not trust what’s going on, such has been the farce of chasing a new first team manager.
