For anybody hoping to see James Forrest appear in the squad for the Ross County game, you’re going to have to wait a little longer.

Asked if the midfielder would finally come back into the squad after nearly six months out, Neil Lennon confirmed it was too early for the Celtic winger.

“No, he’s not even back in training with the group, he’s still doing some individual rehabilitation work” The Hoops manager told Celtic TV.

James has been out since near enough the start of the season. The midfielder has gone through surgery and rehab since being stretchered off in a Europea qualifier for the bhoys.

There’s no doubt we have missed is influence on the right hand side this season.

Celtic have looked lopsided and have been unable to break down opponents like they have in previous seasons.

The latest update suggests we won’t see James until March now. In that case, he will perhaps get a run out before the end of the season but it’s all about next season for the former Celtic academy player.

  1. James can’t put on weight, even if he did, he would be kicked off the ball (as usual) against Rust Cun7ys six centre backs.
They would just take shots of his ankles and hips. As the refs only protect themselves.
Sorry James, you really are a great player. But maybe get rid of the ball earlier, 15 yards before the opposition box.
