In a surprising turn of events, former Celtic winger Jota is reportedly on the brink of a loan move, mere weeks after his £25 million transfer to Al-Ittihad. The news has  Celtic fans scratching their heads in bewilderment.

Jota, who had an outstanding stint with Celtic, winning five out of six possible trophies, made headlines with his big-money move to the Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ittihad.

However, the euphoria of this transfer looks to be short-lived. The decision by Al-Ittihad to consider loaning out Jota so soon after his arrival has been met with confusion and surprise, especially given the substantial transfer fee involved.

According to Omar Al-Kameli, a journalist with insights into the Middle Eastern football scene, and as reported by Arabic media outlet Sport 360, Jota’s next destination looks to be Al-Shabab, who also plays in the Saudi Professional League. This revelation adds another layer of intrigue to an already puzzling situation.

Further deepening the mystery is the news that Al-Ittihad is also considering loan moves for two other players they had recently signed. The rationale behind these decisions remains unclear, but it’s evident that the club’s strategy or circumstances have shifted significantly.

Back in Glasgow, Celtic are grappling with the challenge of finding a worthy successor to Jota. His departure has left a void in the team, and the search for a replacement is in full swing. The Bhoys will be keen to find someone who can replicate, if not surpass, the impact Jota had during his time at the club. Maeda and Abada are either side of Kyogo, but now Oh is out injured, Maeda could fill in as a striker in the next six weeks.

For him sell it doesn’t mater how good he is back to the old days give the old dog more than he paid for him and you have a sale.
