KIERAN TIERNY is call-off number TWELVE in this international break under Alex McLeish as the player pulls out of the squad with a leg injury.

Tierney was expected to start against Albania this weekend but will now head back to Lennoxtown for treatment.

The Scotland squad has been completely changed since a hapless Alex McLeish named his squad.

The number of injuries and players who have asked not to be selected is worrying.

For Celtic, they will be concerned about Tierney’s overall wellbeing with 11 games coming up in just over a month during the festive period.

If Celtic were to lose their star defender for any length of time it would be a massive blow for Brendan Rodgers.

Celtic have had a lot of lay offs in recent months with Scott Brown and Leigh Griffiths being notable absentees.

Emilio Izaguirre has been struggling with an injury but should hopefully be back after the international break.
