Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has been nothing short of a revelation since joining Celtic two summers ago.

The Japanese striker has scored for fun in Glasgow, bagging 54 in 83 games up to this point.

Kyogo hit the ground running at Celtic and his ability even before joining the club was of an optimum level.

A lot of it can likely be put down to his natural footballing ability although he has played with some top class players in the past, one of which being the legendary Andres Iniesta.

Speaking in Japan, Kyogo said (@yataoda4 on Twitter):

“Whenever he held the ball, I knew he would send me great passes. I feel like we saw eye to eye. We certainly trusted each other. It was happy experience for me to be able to connect a lot of key passes from him to goals.”

It is great to see that Kyogo has such a relationship with a player of a rather high calibre.

Iniesta is a world superstar and the quotes from Kyogo about his connection with him come amidst the Spaniard’s departure from Vissel Kobe.

The relationship between the pair looks like it is still there and here’s hoping Kyogo can continually add to his game and learn more from the Barcelona great.
