It looked like this is a picture we would never see but here is a leaked picture of David Turnbull sitting in the Celtic board room this morning, smiling in the hoops.
In an incredible u-turn the Motherwell midfielder has decided to join Celtic after initially rejecting a deal with the Scottish Champions and then entering discussions with Premier League side Norwich.
Turnbull and his agent have been busy over the past week but since the news broke last night it’s been a whirlwind with the player turning up at Celtic Park to sign his deal then head for his medical to complete the process.
This means Motherwell WILL receive their record fee for a player and it will help the Steelmen transform over the next few years.
Celtic have had to be patient with this one but Neil Lennon will be delighted to finally get this deal over the line. Turnbull will now join the club on their tour of Austria and Switzerland.
Well we will soon find out if he can cut and make his way in to first team,better than that some times the player needs to tell there agent or agents that they want to move to a club and get the deal done….looking forward to see how this all pans out…
Have no idea why we are signing ANOTHER midfielder although I trust NL’s judgement. Just feel we have far far more pressing positions to fill like 2 x CB’s & a RB plus a striker like Twumasi or Milan Pavkov. Would love to see Benkovic & Christopher Jullien as those 2 plus Twumasi or Pavkov would be a major signal of intent for the UEFA CL campaign not to mention 9, 10, 11 etc etc……NL10IAR!
