Liam Shaw has been sent out on a season long loan to Morecambe just an hour or so before the deadline. The former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder hasn’t made any sort of inroads into the first team and is too old for the developmental side in the Lowland league.

The player has been spinning his wheels at Celtic but will now get the chance to gain first team experience in the lower leagues down south.

There’s very little chance of Shaw making it at Celtic, the Englishman is better off putting his efforts into developing this season and the finding a permanent exit from the Scottish Champions.

Shaw was signed while Neil Lennon was still in charge, under a pre-contract. By the time Liam came in, the Irishman was long gone and Ange would be the Celtic manager who he‘d finally meet.

Ange has never saw much value in the central midfielder and has likely told him to go out and get game time for the sake of his career.

Celtic have so many players in midfield, Shaw is so far down the pecking order.
